Our mission
Help newcomers feel confident and organised.
When you move to a new country, you're dealing with a lot at once. A new job, a new city, a new culture — and on top of that, a pile of forms, appointments, and reference numbers you've never heard of before.
We created FormMate UK to take that last part off your plate. Our guides are built from official UK government sources — GOV.UK, NHS, HMRC — and written in plain English that anyone can follow, regardless of their background or language level.
We don't give legal advice. We don't replace an immigration lawyer. But we do give you the clearest possible picture of what you need to do, in what order, and with what documents — so you arrive at the process prepared and confident.
"UK admin shouldn't be the thing that makes moving here feel impossible."
— The FormMate UK team
Our approach
How we keep information accurate
We know you're relying on us to get this right. Here's our commitment to accuracy.
Official sources only
Every piece of information in our guides comes from official, publicly available sources: GOV.UK, NHS.uk, HMRC, and relevant UK legislation. We don't use third-party sites or unverified forums.
Regularly reviewed and updated
UK rules and processes change. We review all guides on a regular basis and update them whenever official guidance changes. Each guide shows when it was last reviewed.
Flag errors fast
If you spot something that looks wrong, outdated, or unclear, please tell us immediately. We take corrections seriously and will respond quickly. Use the contact form on our FAQ page.
Is this legal advice?
No — and we're very clear about that. FormMate UK is a practical, informational guide. We help you understand what steps to take based on publicly available official information. We are not a law firm, we are not regulated legal advisers, and nothing on this site should be treated as legal advice.
If your immigration or visa situation is complex — for example, if you've had a refusal, overstayed, or have an unusual circumstance — please consult a qualified and registered UK immigration adviser or solicitor. You can find registered advisers through the GOV.UK Register.
